Gold’s gym gym hours, or hours of work, are mandatory for every employee, according to a regulation issued by the Ministry of Manpower and Social Justice.
The regulation is issued by Health Ministry in collaboration with the department of employment.
The ministry had issued an earlier regulation in January, saying that all employees should be required to work 20 hours per week, including lunch, from 8am to 10pm.
Gold’s hours of service includes the day-to-day work of employees and their guests.
Gold employees also have to maintain a daily fitness routine.
A notice issued by ministry officials said, “All employees should exercise in accordance with the regulations laid down by Health ministry, take regular exercise, maintain good nutrition, maintain cleanliness and hygiene and ensure good sleep.”
The ministry said the notice issued in January to all employees was an interim regulation issued for the first three months of the new year.
It said that if an employee’s hours are reduced or the daily fitness is increased, the notice will be reviewed within two weeks.
The notice said, in case of an employee who fails to maintain fitness, he or she will be given a notice, as well as an apology.
The ministry has not issued a formal order to the government yet, but the ministry has directed all departments to issue guidelines on how to deal with employees who fail to exercise.
